Women's Groups
Monday Afternoons, Bring your own lunch (kids included)! We are a group of moms gathered together to deepen our relationship with Christ and each other. During the school year, we meet every Monday at 12 noon in the Conference Room. Childcare is provided. We are currently enjoying a summer full of fun, fellowship every Monday. If you are interested in joining our group, please call or email Ann Orchard, the group's facilitator.
Saturday Morning Book Club, Riviera’s Book Club is a small group of women (all ages and stages!) who meet at 8:00 a.m. one Saturday morning a month at Panera (4th Street, North location) for fellowship and discussion of the current book selection. All books are faith based; recent selections have included: Lifestories; Ninety Minutes in Heaven; Magdalene; I Dared to Call Him Father; and Dinner (and Day) with a Perfect Stranger; Mistaken Identity; Escape, among others. Members suggest books to be read that strive to educate and/or encourage us in our daily walk with Christ and in our desire to follow in the path He leads. Discussions serve to help us grow in our relationship to Christ and each other. Orders for the books are placed; participants purchase one for themselves or locate a copy at the library. Paula Miklos is the facilitator of this group. For our gathering on September 6th, we are reading Freedom: The Story of My Second Life by Malika Oufkir. For our October meeting, we will be reading Change of Heart by Jodi Picoult.
