Benevolences
As a member of the United Methodist denomination, there are bountiful benefits and resources as well as responsibilities. Apportionments are one way we contribute to both ministry and administration on a larger scale through our local church apportionments. There are three basic kinds of apportionments: District, Conference and General Church Apportionments. These apportionments fund the programs and activities approved by delegates from our church and our apportionment is our church’s fair share of the cost of these programs and activities. The fair share calculation is an equitable figure that is made up of compensation paid to all lay employees and clergy, operational items and program items. Basically we are paying our fair-share of the Conference annual budget. Apportionments, benevolences, capital costs in addition to membership, attendance and similar statistics are not included in the formula. Following are the main funds within the apportionment system that Riviera contributes to:

Fall Festival:
Saturday, October 18th from 4 - 7:00 p.m. Free food & drinks, popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy, games, cake walk, bounce houses, face painting, pumpkin decorating contest, photos at our pumpkin patch and more!!!
