On Saturday, October 22, 2016, Riviera United Methodist Church will be holding the Pumpkin Fest!  This community outreach event will be a rootin’, tootin’ fun-filled jamboree for the entire family. The event will be free and open to the entire community!

The schedule of activities for the festival includes:

  • 3:00 Children's Activities: face painting,  games, story time, pony rides, petting zoo, hayrides and snacks
  • 4:00 Live Music
  • 5:00 Cuban cafe open with proceeds to benefit our Cuba Ministry.
  • 5:30 Corn hole tournament
  • 7:30 Gift basket drawings

Ways to get involved:

VOLUNTEER

Sign up online here.

There is also a sign up sheet in the Narthex with shift times and volunteer options. Help with the food, children’s activities, or set-up and tear down. Set-up will begin at 10am and we are in need of lots of helpers, particularly people with the ability to lift and move things.
LEND: We need to borrow a couple large cooler(s) to keep water on ice, and a tent canopy or two (similar to the ones used for tailgating) to shade some of the activities.
DONATE:
Items are needed to be included as part of a free drawing for gift baskets. We welcome all donations of items, services, gift certificates, or pre-made gift baskets.
Candy to be given away to the kids as prizes and bottled water for everyone to keep cool and hydrated.
Pumpkin flavored baked goods to be sold during the festival. Pull out that old family recipe and share your best pumpkin pie, cookie, muffin, bread, roll or bar.
SHARE: Invite your friends and family! Share our Facebook event with your friends, and then bring them along to enjoy the day!

If you have questions or items to lend please contact Pumpkin Fest Chair, Laura Van Dyke, laura.vandyke@genworth.com or 727-804-4038.
